VJ BUNBUN & KOPYCA/QC + JP
BunBun is a Montréal-based VJ whose style is best described as brightly hued, ultra-textured, beat-synced, and holographic looking. Their work has been presented at 30+ international festivals and conferences including Bass Coast, C2, HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts, Igloofest, îleSoniq, Jazz Fest, MUTEK Montréal and NODE20. BunBun has also performed visuals alongside hundreds of reputable artists such as Alicia Keys, Atari Teenage Riot, Black Coffee, John Digweed, Lee Burridge, Monolink, Phish and Rüfüs Du Sol.
KOPY, a solo project by an Osaka-based musician Yuko Kureyama, was initiated in 2015 after playing guitar for years in an all-female band 'water fai' from 2002 to 2015. Alongside, Yuko also takes part in a synth noise duo Turtle Yama.
KOPY's debut title "volume 1" was self-released in 2015, followed by "Live at forest limit" in 2016. She toured Europe in 2016, played in countries including Germany and Belgium. In 2018, she performed at the Lena Williams showcase in Meakusma festival. In 2021 she performed at Theater der Welt in Düsseldorf.
In 2019, she contributed a track to 12" compilation released on Stefan Schneider's label TAL., followed by "Super Mil", split album with TENTENKO was released. She released 'Eternal EP' in 2021, which included remixes by Harmonious Thelonious, Elena Colombi and Dynamo Dreesen.
