Chihei Hatakeyama & Seiichi Segajp
Chihei Hatakeyama is a sound artist and musician living on the outskirts of Tokyo. He has performed for years under his given name and also as one half of the electroacoustic duo Opitope, along with Tomoyoshi Date. Hatakeyama polychromes memory-evoking soundscapes with various recorded materials of electric, acoustic instruments such as electric guitars, vibraphone, and piano. His releases are on Kranky, Room 40, Under The Spire, Hibernate Records, Magic Book Records, Home Normal, OwnRecords And Spekk (As Opitope).
Seiichi Sega is born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1985. After having experienced 3DCG work at Omnibus Japan, Seiichi joined PARTY in 2020. He
creates motion graphics that involve developing and implementing high-end CG that uses physical simulation as an abstract approach to
actualize expressions different from photorealism. Seiichi also participates in the visual development of “WIRED Design Generator” that utilizes algorithms of natural phenomena. In addition, as a member of the creative label “superSymmetry,” Seiichi visualizes scientific data
and philosophy, collaborates with traditional arts, and makes art installations. He is active at art festivals in Japan and abroad, and has exhibited in Canada, Mexico, Belgium, and Saudi Arabia.
