Esteban AzuelaMX
Esteban Azuela studied a diploma in Traditional Animation at the Vancouver Film School (VFS), Canada; and various graduates in Advanced, Experimental and Documentary Photography at the Academy of Visual Arts (AAVI), Mexico City. Founding member of the animation collective Viumasters, he obtained, among other supports, the Young Creators Scholarship from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) and the National Council for Culture and the Arts (CONACULTA), Mexico, in 2010.
He mixes animation techniques with digital photogrammetry processes to produce synesthesia in live acts. His video pieces and animated short films have been exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo, Oberhausen Kurzfilmtage, Annecy and at the Central de Abastos. He is co-founder of the audiovisual groups LINEA 2 and Volumetrica and has collaborated with artists such as Nick Zinner, Lourdes Grobet, Los Viejos, Black Devil Disco Club, Noizekid and María Bonita.
